About the Role
As a Development Manager at Readly, you will be responsible for overseeing various competencies within the Product & Tech department, ensuring that our teams have the right skills and expertise to succeed. You will play a key role in fostering collaboration across teams, making sure that they work effectively together and are equipped with the right capabilities to meet the business goals. This role combines technical oversight with personnel management, helping our tech specialists grow and succeed.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Guiding and coaching development teams to deliver exceptional results.

• Taking on personnel responsibilities, including performance reviews, career development, and day-to-day mentoring.

• Collaborating with Product Managers and other stakeholders to align technical work with business needs.

• Driving improvements in workflows, tools, and technical platforms.

• Inspiring and creating engagement across distributed teams.

• Ensuring your teams have the right conditions to thrive individually and collectively.

Who you are
We’re looking for someone with experience of working in a dynamic, fast-paced and agile environment. You’ve previously held personnel responsibilities and know how to foster a culture of support, growth, and accountability. You also have a strong technical background and are comfortable engaging with engineering challenges.

You’ll bring:

• 3–5 years of experience as a Development Manager, Engineering Manager, or a similar role.

• Proven experience in managing people, including recruitment and professional development.

• Strong technical understanding, ideally from a background in software development or technical project management.

• A knack for creating structure and prioritizing in fast-paced settings.

Bonus points if you:

• Are familiar with modern tech stacks and development methodologies.

• Have a passion for agile principles and continuous improvement.
