Data and Analytics @ Readly

The data and analytics team is based in Sweden (either Stockholm or Växjö) but works towards all markets, providing actionable insights and data-driven services and models to marketing, content, product, management and finance departments. The analytics team consists of data engineers, data analysts and data scientists and we work cross-functionally with business, product and tech stakeholders. We value work/life balance but also believe that we grow and develop when we meet which is why we have a few mandatory days when we work from the office together.

About your role:

We are looking for a curious and driven data scientist/ML engineer to help continue Readly’s strive towards a data driven organization. You will have the opportunity to make a big difference in all areas of the company and will come across projects that will help our customers to find the most relevant content for them and to find their way in the app. Or projects that help business managers understand who might be a potential customer and predict trends in the market and customer behavior.

You will need to take a high degree of ownership for the end-to-end process from idea to productionised solution and you will need a few years of work experience from a similar role to accomplish this. That said, the team strives to help and learn from each other and to share both challenges and successes, so you will not be alone in your responsibilities. The role gives you great opportunities to influence both technical and business decisions.

Key role responsibilities

• Work with teams and stakeholders to identify business opportunities and how to realize them using data and machine learning

• Translate business and product needs into technical requirements

• Develop new and manage existing data models and pipelines

• Develop, deploy and maintain machine learnings models and workflows in production, we currently use AWS sagemaker and fargate, terraform, dbt and snowflake

Required Experience & skills

• A BSc or higher in a relevant field such as Engineering, Data/Computer Science, Statistics or other quantitative field.

• Strong skills and interest in statistical analysis and machine learning/AI

• Minimum 4 years working experience in a similar role

• Experienced in Python programming in a professional setting. (or extensive experience in other languages combined with knowledge of python)

• SQL experience

• Experience from end-to-end data science for product development (e.g. recommendation engines, user segmentation, content classification) or for marketing/customer relations (e.g. marketing optimisation, customer life-time value, churn propensity)

• Good communication skills and ability to lead discussions related to Data Science opportunities

• Must already be eligible to work from either the Stockholm or Växjö offices, we do not offer relocation or visa assistance

It is a big bonus if you also have one or more of the following

• Architectural skills or experience in MLops

• Experience with data science and machine learning on the AWS platform

• Experience with infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines

• Extensive Data modeling/data engineering skills

And most important of all is a curious mindset and a willingness and interest to learn and expand your skill set.
