How you will make an impact

We're looking for a Tech lead who wants to be part of an empowered cross-functional product team. In the role as Tech lead at Readly, you will be a part of a team’s product trio that consist of a Product Manager, Product Designer and Tech lead.

The product trio sets the direction for the team and tries to find the best way to reach the team's mission and objective. You will be responsible for ensuring the technical feasibility when evaluating opportunities and defining solutions, both in the discovery and delivery phase.

This is an opportunity to join Readly in a very interesting stage, where you will be part of a growing Tech organisation. We have a lot of exciting work ahead of us where we both need to optimise our current product, but also need to rethink and evolve it to more user needs.

About the role

We are now strengthening our Tech organisation with two more Tech leads within the Product core area; Discover Content and Personalisation.

The Discover Content team’s mission is to make it easier for users to find content they are interested in through navigation and search, but also for making sure that content is presented to the user in an appealing way in different parts of our product. The Personalisation team has the mission to understand our content and users on a deeper level, in order to be able to provide a personalised user experience in all touch points with Readly.

Both teams belong to the Product core domain, where we focus on creating the best possible product and service for our app users. As a product-led company, we believe that our success is determined by our ability to deliver value to our users through a great product experience.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring the technical feasibility when evaluating and deciding solutions in both discovery and delivery phase.

• Drive the team forward with new technology and ways to solve problems in smarter ways.

• Lead the team’s daily work in the delivery phase in close collaboration with the product trio.

• Champion overall architecture direction and lead technical initiatives in the team, across stacks.

• Coach and lead the developers in our development process for example code & quality standards

• Together with your product trio and the product- and tech leadership, take an active part in developing the way we work, with the goal of improving our processes so we can deliver value to our users even faster.

Who you are

• You are curious and have a genuine interest in new technology and how they can be leveraged to improve solutions and drive innovation

• You have experience within modern software development processes and cloud technologies

• You have a background as developer building either web or mobile applications

• You have experience working in a product organisation with a continuous discovery and delivery mindset, where experimentation, fast feedback loops and A/B testing is the key.

• You have a good understanding of and experience of personalisation and content areas.

• You are interesting in translating business needs to technical solutions and driving cross-team, business-critical initiatives

• You have strong communication skills and are able to communicate well both with developers and non-technical people.
